Gratitude Project

Gratitude Project: Day 1

Today I learned that, too often, I try to entertain people with my bitterness. I know that sounds weird but I can be funny and bitter at the same time and I often choose to do that because I want people to like me.

I tried to watch my reaction to things today and when I was able to catch a bitter reaction before it came to fruition, then it was almost like holding in a sneeze. The need to say something mean/bitter/funny to entertain someone was almost tangible.

I know that with practice, I’ll be able to control those desires better. I want to choose thanksgiving over other, less productive things.

Theme of today: Shut it, Beth.
