Four years ago today, I married my best friend. Since then, we have gone to Tenessee, got a dog, moved into a cool townhome, met lots of neighbors, hosted lots of parties, joined a Bible study, joined a housechurch, quit a housechurch, rapped about our day, dog sat, prayed about doing foster care, discovered dog parks, ate lots of rice, parcoured, spoken in funny voices, put Alex through school, had multiple jobs, prayed about adopting a child with HIV, mentored an Iraqi family, been to Colorado twice, changed plans for our future a bajillion times, moved into the world’s most ghetto duplex, rock climbed, lived in a teeny-tiny one-bedroom apartment with no windows, purchased a scooter, cooked dinner, washed the dishes, danced in our living room, took funny pictures on the laptop, write and perform haikus, pulled over on the side of the road to clean up after Gracie expressed her anal glands in the car, fought and laughed about where the “line” is in our bed, played Wii, gone camping, talked about what will happen when the giants inside the earth explode out of volcanoes and rip people’s heads off with their teeth, watched terrible movies, watched great movies, window shopped, eaten pretzels and smoothies, and laughed
ALOT.
I have loved every minute- the big things and the small. Best decision I ever made.
That is WONDERFUL! I am so happy for you two! This marriage will last a hundred years!
